Tragedy has again struck IMSU as a 400L student identified as Mr. Amadi Junior Ralph of faculty of business administration who was meant to graduate by July as a second class upper student died few months to graduation.According to report,the deceased was found dead after he suddenly slumped and landed with his head while climbing down the staircase in his family compound in Rivers state where he traveled for the short Christmas break.

The deceased before his untimely death on Tuesday January 02 was a final year student of Management department in the faculty of business administration Imo state university.
The remains of late Amadi Junior Ralph will be laid to rest at his home town in Rivers State on Saturday 13th January.

May the soul of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in perfect peace, Amen.

This is new. An Indian girl has developed what she claims are rape-proof underwear featuring a lock, a GPS alert for police and a video camera to record an attacker’s face.  Seenu Kumari, who was born into a poor family in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, spent less than £50 in creating the pants which comes with an emergency call button and a combination lock.
The pink garment, which the teenager is hoping to take to the wider market, is also bulletproof and cannot be cut by a knife.
Kumari said: ‘I have put a smart lock that won’t open till you key in the password. I have also installed an electronic device that is equipped with a GPS and calling facility.  ‘When somebody tries to molest a woman, this device will send out messages to relatives of the woman and also to the police.
‘The cop would be able to arrive at the crime scene following the GPS and foil the rape attempt.’
She has also installed a video recorder so that it could capture and store the identity of the culprits.
The teenager added: ‘A woman doesn’t need to wear this underwear always. She can wear it when she is travelling alone or if she finds a place unsafe.  ‘This can help save the woman from wicked men who would try to violate her dignity.’

If a woman was to come under attack, a woman wearing the underwear could press a button on the device which would call a pre-set emergency number.
The prototype for the underwear has been sent to the National Innovation Foundation in Allahabad for patenting.

A 16-year-old girl identified as Alero Eyesan has been left in pains after she was stabbed on her thigh by a guy who was said to be wooing her. The sad incident was said to have occurred in Delta state on the 31st of December, 2017.

The teenage girl was said to have denied advances from the guy who is popularly known as ‘Osama’.
The suspect was said to have laid an ambush for her as he attacked and stabbed the innocent girl.
She was immediately rushed to central hospital where the doctors prescribed things to be bought for her treatment  which they couldn’t afford. .
According to reports, the doctor said the girl’s chance to live is 50:50 because the wound has been infected and has reached her private part and if not attended to urgently she night not make it. .
The girl is said to be in tears because of the unbearable pain, while the guy who stabbed her is currently on the run.

A boss attacked a woman after leaving a bad review for her late delivery. Security footage shows the customer, named as Xiao Li, being slapped and kicked on the floor after she was accosted by the man.

It is claimed that the attacker is the owner of an online retail company, Mr Zhang, who became incensed after the bad review and had travelled 500 miles to confront her.
Miss Li had complained that a delivery she had ordered was four days late.
CCTV from Zhengzhou in eastern China shows the woman being viciously punched and kicked leaving her in a heap on the ground.
The man kicked and slapped her repeatedly, causing her to stumble and fall, before he walked away.

The woman was taken to hospital, where she was treated for injuries including concussion.
The victim is claimed to have been messaged by the Mr Zhang who said he had travelled all night from Suzhou more than 500 miles away so he could “teach her a lesson”.
Police declined to comment but confirmed they were investigating.

The IGP-Intelligence Response Team attached to Operation Absolute Sanity, working on actionable intelligence and in compliance with IGP’S directives to rid Abuja-Jere-Kaduna-Zaria highways and other major roads within FCT, Niger and Kaduna kidnappers, Armed Robbers and Cattle Rustlers arrested the above mentioned gangs responsible for several Kidnappings including that of one Imam Hakeem Kosoko and others on Abuja – Kaduna Roads.

Most of the suspects were arrested in the act after exchange of gun fire with the personnel of the IGP-Intelligence Response Team attached to Operation Absolute Sanity in their hideout along Kaduna – Abuja Road. Four (4) victims were rescued from their captivity and have been reunited with their families.
The suspects arrested confessed and admitted the various criminal roles they played in the commission of the crimes.
Investigation is ongoing to arrest other members of the gangs at large. The suspects will be arraigned in Court for prosecution on completion of investigation.

Saudi police say they have arrested everyone involved in a ‘gay wedding’ near the holy city of Mecca. Footage showing two men walking side-by-side while confetti is sprayed over their heads and music is played in the background went viral when it was uploaded last week.

The duo can be seen proceeding down what appears to be an aisle while one of the men wears what looks like a wedding veil.
Now police have announced they arrested those involved in the supposed wedding after a man attending a festival at a resort near Mecca reported the incident.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Mecca Police explained: ‘The man said people attending the event were surprised when a few young men entered the place and tried to perform a “gay wedding scene”.’
The statement, translated from Arabic by Step Feed, said one of the men in the ceremony was a ‘crossdresser’.

It went on: ‘After the crossdresser and other people involved in the incident were identified, they were all arrested and their case will now be referred to the prosecution.’
Homosexuality is punishable by severe punishment – ranging from lashings to death – in Saudi Arabia.

The time table for the 2019 general elections has been announced officially by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The presidential and National Assembly elections will hold on same day on February 16, 2019, INEC said while briefing journalists on Tuesday.

Governorship and state assembly elections will also hold same day on March 2, two weeks after the presidential election. The elections into Abuja Area Councils also hold on March 2.
It is said that primaries for presidential and National Assembly elections will commence on August 18.
However, after the primaries, campaigns only start formally on November 18, INEC said.
Campaigns for the governorship and state assemblies are scheduled to commence on December the 1, 2018.

It would have been a sad tale for a family who experienced a ghastly motor accident while traveling back from Christmas celebration from the eastern part of the country. According to reports, the accident occurred along Ore road after the driver tried to dodge a pothole as the front tyre got busted.

The car veered off the highway and landed in a ditch with all the occupants coming out with any injuries.

On Sunday, January 7, 2018, soldiers deployed to Arufu a boundary town between Taraba and Benue State disarmed and arrested 9 Civilian Joint Task Force CJTF with 5 AK 47 rifles. According to reports, initially a reinforcement of CJTF came to prevent the security operatives from transporting the arrested CJTF to Benue headquarters. The reinforcements later withdrew.

During the preliminary investigation the arrested CJTF claimed that the weapons were issued to them by some elements in Benue state as they reportedly said they are a legally constituted body by the Benue state government.
Interrogation of the suspected militia revealed that the gang had members of about 60 men camped in Gbeyi, Benue state.It was also gathered that over 1,000 of the gang team were stationed at different camps while 700 out of them bear arms.
The group said they were being trained by some ex-service men assembled all over Benue state.

They are currently in custody as investigation continues.

Former Germany, Arsenal and Bayern Munich star Lukas Podolski has unveiled a new project: a kebab restaurant in his longtime home city of Cologne.

Around 1,000 fans turned up on Saturday to the opening of Mangal Doener, some arriving more than five hours early to catch a glimpse of their local hero, according to the player’s spokesperson.
Podolski will run the restaurant along with two co-owners and the player posed in front of a kebab and signed autographs before turning his hand to cutting slithers off a huge slab of unidentified meat.

A Nigerian journalist, Osiah Chinedu Ojukwu, is overwhelmed with joy following the killing notorious cult leader, kidnap kingpin and mass murderer was shot dead by security operatives recently in Enugu state. The journalist revealed how the dreaded criminal element called him on phone to threaten him over a negative news published about him.

Troops in Operation LAFIYA DOLE have been making tremendous progress in the ongoing Operation DEEP PUNCH 2 in the various Sectors. So far, the troops have neutralized over 50 Boko Haram terrorists, destroyed and captured high calibre arms and ammunition, especially in the Lake Chad general area.

Troops yesterday Monday 8th January 2018, cleared Boko Haram terrorists in Metele village, Tumbun Gini and Tumbun Ndjamena.
During the clearance operations, Boko Haram terrorists abandoned the area in disarray leaving behind livestock, large quantity of foodstuff, motorcycles and donkeys.
Also in Metele however, the terrorists attempted to attack troops in harbour, but this was stiffly resisted with heavy casualty on Boko Haram terrorists. Troops neutralized over 57 of them, destroyed gun trucks and and other equipment. The gallant troops also discovered terrorists’ logistics base at Tumbu Ndjamena which held stocks of fish, foodstuffs, fuel and motorcycles. All these items were promptly destroyed.
Troops also captured 1 Anti-Aircraft Gun, 116 rounds of 12.7mm ammunition with metal links, 4 Ak-47 rifles, 57 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition (Special), 2 Light Machine Guns, 2 Rocket Propelled Grenade 7 (RPG 7) Tubes, with one RPG Bomb and 2 already primed 36 Hand Grenades. Other recovered items include 1 Small Solar panel with a Gionee mobile phone, 1 Holy Qur’an, 6 Hadith Books, as well as 5 Gun trucks (which were destroyed).

Sadly, 4 of our troops paid the supreme price while 9 others were wounded in action. Specifically, a Boko Haram vehicle laden with Improvised Explosive Devices rammed into an MRAP vehicle which exploded killing 3 soldiers, a Civilian JTF and wounding the other soldiers. The bodies of the gallant and wounded heroes have been evacuated to 8 Division Medical Services and Hospital, Monguno.

According to an online report, a Nigerian woman identified as Violet Aibangbee, has died in France. The 40-year-old woman was reportedly found dead at her home in the European country as search as begun by the Nigerian Embassy in France to get in contact with her family members to claim her corpse, according to the report.
